CURB Hosts Virtual Focus Group of Educators

Our education team has been working hard to stay up to date on their NYS DEC Hudson River Estuary Program-funded Hudson River Ecology Course and Curriculum project, after making some changes to do much of it remotely this spring. The biggest milestone so far was holding a virtual focus group on May 27th with 7 local educators from New York City and Yonkers to give insight into how they will use the curriculum, and why the course will be particularly effective for their students. Moving forward, our education team will take their recommendations into account as they continue writing the curriculum and building up plans to run a 1-week intensive summer course in 2021 focused on Hudson River Ecology for high school students.
