The Center for the Urban River is able to thrive thanks to the help of our dedicated team of volunteers. Volunteers assist the staff in day to day activities such as education programs, lab maintenance, park clean-ups, and office work. In addition to long term volunteering commitments, we also offer single day events for student clubs, community organizations, scouts, and corporate groups. Our volunteer positions are open to participants ages 14 and up, and are available throughout the year. For additional information please check out our Volunteer Brochure, or contact Outreach Coordinator Jason Muller at

Volunteer News:

CURB staff gives a big shout out to our team of River Explorers volunteers who helped out with our free Saturday programs this summer! The volunteers assisted with 13 weekends of seining and craft activities, which we wouldn't have been able to offer without their help. Thanks again for all of the time and effort that was put in this summer, and we're looking forward to next year's River Explorers!
