Groundwork Hudson Valley and CURB Present Climate Change Webinar

On November 8th, CURB co-presented a Climate Curriculum Distance Learning Module Webinar with Jennifer Sloan, Director of Education at the Science Barge, Groundwork Hudson Valley. Garnered from two years of research, high school field trip programming, and an extensive curriculum packet and web application created largely by Jenn Sloan, the Webinar was geared towards educators who want to incorporate climate change lessons in their classroom but might not know where to start. If you missed the Webinar, you can check out the recorded video here.

The web-application and Global-Coastal-Local curriculum set are also available on Groundwork Hudson Valley’s website. The curriculum will be complete by the end of 2018.

Special thanks go to NOAA (the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) for funding this project through the Environmental Literacy Grant on behalf of Groundwork Hudson Valley, Nicholas Ericksen for creating the web application, Sound Associates for providing Audio/Visual equipment for the Webinar, and partners at the International Research Institute at Lamont Doherty for reviewing content and providing feedback for the curriculum.
